Study Tour to Shanghai

The teaching team of Shine Skills Centre conducted a study tour to Shanghai in January 2024.  The team visited various organisations, including the “Sunshine 201” of the Shanghai Disabled Persons’ Employment Service Center, HINICHIJOU, Dream Coffee, and the Disabled Service Centre of Party-mass through the arrangement of the Shanghai Disabled Persons’ Federation.  They gained understanding of the employment supports provided to people with disabilities in Shanghai by exchanging views with each other.  The team also visited the Jiading Industrial Area Sunshine Home, Quyang Community Sunshine Home for the Lovely Persons, Shanghai Pudong New Area Special School, and Shanghai Yang Zhi Rehabilitation Hospital to gain insight into the training and rehabilitation for people with disabilities in Shanghai.

 

The Shanghai Disabled Persons’ Federation is committed to exploring employment or business opportunities for people with disabilities.  Its diversified operation and management models not only serve as a role model but also inspire Shine to adopt new concepts to its services on assessment, vocational education training, rehabilitation, skills training and employment support.  The visit fosters closer ties between disability organisations in Shanghai and Hong Kong, laying a solid foundation for future’s cooperation.  We look forward to more interaction with the Federation, and together making more contributions to the education, rehabilitation, and employment development of people with disabilities.
