Shine Skills Centre organized the “Social Inclusion Short Video Competition” to engage youth in promoting equality, inclusion and accessibility. The project is funded by the Labor and Welfare Bureau and sponsored by the Rotary Club of the North West District of Hong Kong.

 

The competition was divided into four divisions, namely “Tertiary Institute and Open Division”, “Secondary School Division”, “Special School Division” and “Shine Division”. Winners were invited to attend the award presentation ceremony held on 18 January 2023 at Shine Skills Centre (Kwun Tong) – Oxford Road Re-provisioned Campus. Videos of the Champion and runner-ups were shared with the guests. The entries were of high quality and creativity with a wide range of themes, which successfully reflected the difficulties faced by people with disabilities in their daily lives and studies. Through this competition, it was hoped to increase the public awareness on the needs of people with disabilities and promote community inclusion with respect and care.
